Job summary

The Florida Forest Service, part of the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, seeks candidates for forest fire prevention, detection, suppression, and presuppression roles. This position involves operating and maintaining fire suppression equipment and conducting inspections, training, and public outreach.

Incumbents must obtain a Class A CDL within six months, live within 30 miles of White Springs HQ, pass drug tests, background screening, and be willing to respond to

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent and at least 18 years old.
• Fingerprint submission and background check required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test and medical exam.

Responsibilities

• Forestry work in prevention, detection, suppression and presuppression.
• Operate and maintain firefighting equipment and vehicles.
