Job summary

The Florida Forest Service within the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking candidates for an open competitive opportunity in Florida. Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent, at least 18 years old.
• No felony or disqualifying convictions; standard background checks.
• Submit fingerprint card with processing fee.
• Good moral character as determined by investigation.

Responsibilities

• Prevent, detect and suppress wildfires; provide technical forestry services to landowners and industry reps.
• Maintain and operate fire suppression equipment and vehicles.
• Execute presuppression and suppression activities and assist in public forestry education.
