Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Experience: Two years as a Forester or two years as a Forest Nursery Assistant Manager, or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Staff Oversight: Manage and guide foresters, technicians, and other assigned employees.
• Forest Planning: Develop and track goals for forest treatments and coordinate field activities.
• Resource Review: Prepare and assess timber sale documents and resource management records.
• Public Outreach: Support district outreach efforts through events, presentations, and community programs.
• Fire Management: Direct fire protection activities and coordinate training, reporting, and prevention efforts.
• Program Coordination: Work with park staff, agencies, and local governments on shared forest programs.
