Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Nights shift on a full-time basis. The role focuses on safe patient care using the nursing process, including antepartum and postpartum newborn/mother care, within the Birthplace. You will collaborate with nursing staff to ensure quality outcomes.

Candidates should hold a current state RN license; BSN is preferred. BLS and NRP credentials are required within specified timelines, with fetal monitoring training

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days and maintained.
• NRP certification within 90 days and maintained.
• Basic Fetal Monitoring training upon hire within 60 days and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Uses the chain of command to ensure newborn and maternal care during antepartum and postpartum periods.

Hours: 7pm to 7am
Location: Southern Regional Medical Center - Riverdale, GA

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace.
• Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
• Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors.
• Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred
• BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current
• NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current
• Basic Fetal Monitoring upon hire within 60 days of hire and maintain current
