Qualifications

• Three years of full-time work experience as a Crime Scene Technician.
• One year (30 semester hours) of forensic science, criminal justice or related field, from an accredited college or university.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training may substitute for one year of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Process scenes for latent prints and collect evidence.
• Photograph major crime scenes and evidence.
• Testify in criminal courts as an expert witness.
• Respond to open records requests and subpoenas for information.
• Assist with criminal investigations when needed.
