Job summary

Providence is seeking a part-time Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) to deliver timely, compassionate medical-forensic exams in Oregon Clinical Programs. You will conduct exams, provide prophylaxis, document findings photographically, and refer patients for follow-up care.

Collaboration with community partners is a key element of the role. The position requires an Oregon RN license, completion of the SANE-A (40 hours) course, BLS, and at least 2 years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Completion of the 40-hour IAFN or OR SATF SANE-A course.
• Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 2 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical-forensic exams following established protocols.
• Provide prophylaxis for pregnancy and STIs as indicated.
• Photographic documentation of findings.
• Complete referrals for medical and psychological follow-up.
• Collaborate with advocacy agencies, law enforcement, prosecutors and protection services.
