Job summary

Providence is seeking a Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) to perform timely, compassionate medical-forensic exams in Oregon Clinical Programs. You will administer prophylaxis, document findings with photographs, and arrange referrals for medical and psychological follow-up care.

You will work with advocacy groups, law enforcement, prosecutors and protection agencies to support patients and families in a patient-centered, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Completion of the 40-hour IAFN or OR SATF SANE-A course.
• Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 2 years of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical-forensic exams and related care following established protocols.
• Offer pregnancy and STI prophylaxis and complete referrals for follow-up care.
• Photographic documentation and interagency referrals.
• Collaborate with advocacy agencies, law enforcement, prosecutors and protection services.
