Corewell Health in the Lakeland/Niles area is seeking a Part-time RN to provide forensic nursing care to victims of sexual assault and abuse. The role involves collecting health data, planning patient care, and testifying in court when required.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in Nursing, Michigan RN license, NCLEX, and have at least 2 years of acute care experience. SANE-A certification is required for 0.5 FTE+ and SANE-P is preferred for PRN within 3 years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Nursing.
• Graduates from non-accredited nursing schools must have NCLEX licensure and 1 year acute care or 2 years licensed health care experience.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• 2 years of acute care nursing experience.
• SANE-A certification required for 0.5 FTE+; CFNC CFN certification preferred for PRN within 3 years.
• SANE-P certification required for 0.5 FTE+; CFNC CFN certification preferred for PRN within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional forensic nursing care under ANA framework.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patient care.
• Document health data and report related information.
• Collaborate with care teams and other personnel.
• Provide courtroom testimony when subpoenaed.
