Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the SANE Program in Evanston, IL. The RN will perform medical forensic exams, collect forensic specimens, and document findings while providing compassionate care to survivors in the Emergency Department or inpatient units.

The role requires IL RN licensure, BSN preferred, and SANE certification through the Illinois Attorney General Office or equivalent. Prior forensic nursing experience is preferred; Epic literacy is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• Certificate/training in SANE through Illinois Attorney General program or approved by SANE Coordinator.
• Prior forensic nursing experience preferred; computer literacy for Epic.

Responsibilities

• Perform SANE duties with forensic collection and documentation.
• Attend SANE meetings for peer review and standards compliance.
• Collaborate with ED staff, survivor advocates, law enforcement and partners.
• Attend courtroom proceedings related to sexual assault cases.
