Job summary

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services seeks a Psychologist for the Special Commitment Center on McNeil Island, offering leadership and clinical supervision within a forensic mental health setting.

The role supports evidence-based treatment, testing and case formulation, with opportunities to supervise clinicians and advance licensure through training and supervision hours. Travel to the island is required as part of the commute.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited school.
• One year of post-doctoral psychology experience.
• WA licensure or eligibility with an in-training pathway available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead evidence-based treatment groups.
• Provide individualized 1:1 intervention to clients.
• Attend and contribute to treatment team meetings and debriefs.
• Administer and score testing to inform treatment recommendations.
• Document treatment sessions and incident reports in the electronic system.
• Develop case conceptualizations and individualized treatment plans.
• Possible deposition testimony as a fact-witness.
