Job summary

Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 1 year of correctional inpatient experience, preferably with juvenile patients who are incarcerated and facing mood, anxiety and behavioral conditions.

The role is in a locked forensic environment with regular interaction with law enforcement and a 6A-4:30P or 2-10:20P shift, weekends on a biweekly basis.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license
• AHA BLS
• MAB or CPI
• LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City)
• At least 2 years of psychiatric/correctional health experience combined with medical-surgical or ER background
• Proficient in blood draw

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a locked forensic environment with interactions with law enforcement.
• Be prepared to cover weekends on an alternating schedule.
• Respond to medical emergencies and make rapid clinical decisions as needed.
