Job summary
SnapCare is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide high-quality nursing care in a secure correctional and behavioral health environment. This role combines medical, psychiatric, and emergency nursing while working with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license in Colorado or compact and have at least one year of RN experience in the last five years. Availability for 12-hour shifts, day/night rotations, and a rotating 36/48 schedule is
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or Compact/eNLC.
- 1 year of RN experience within the last 5 years.
- Ability to obtain Colorado fingerprint clearance.
- Cerner experience preferred.
- Mental health/corrections/behavioral health exposure is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments.
- Develop and update individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments safely.
- Monitor patient conditions and vital signs.
- Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies.
- Document patient care accurately.
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and behavioral health staff.
- Delegate assignments and oversee shift operations.
- Support and mentor nursing staff.
- Ensure continuity of care during shift handoff.
- Maintain safe and therapeutic environment.
- Follow infection prevention and facility policies.
- Support trauma-informed care practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Report incidents and safety concerns appropriately.
