Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) in Los Angeles, CA, offering evening shifts (14:00–22:30) and local pay of $52.65/hour. The role supports juvenile inmate patients with mood, anxiety, and behavioral conditions in a forensic environment, collaborating with law enforcement and medical teams.

Required CA RN license, 2+ years in psychiatric/behavioral health, medical-surgical, correctional health or ER. BLS/ACLS/PALS and related clearances are expected.

Qualifications

• Active California RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience in psychiatric/behavioral health, medical-surgical, correctional health or ER.
• Experience with juvenile inmate patients is preferred.
• Must be comfortable in a locked forensic environment with interactions with law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures within scope.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure regulatory compliance.
