Job summary

Carolina Outreach is seeking a Forensic CST Peer Support Specialist to work in the community, drawing on lived experience to support recovery, self-advocacy, and housing stability. You will meet clients in the community, provide regular check-ins, help access behavioral health, legal, and housing resources, and collaborate with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery.
• Certified Peer Support Specialist in NC.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior justice system involvement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide peer support in community settings using lived experience.
• Meet clients in the community with regular check-ins and coaching.
• Help clients access behavioral health, legal, housing, and community resources.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to support goals, wellness, and recovery.
