Job summary

Mental Health Resource Center in Florida seeks a Team Leader for the Multidisciplinary Forensic Team (MFT). The role administers the MFT program, aligning with guidance from the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse and adapted FACT model to promote recovery and self-determination for participants.

The Team Leader supervises admissions, recovery planning, and coordination with psychiatrists, court officials, and other providers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, psychiatric rehabilitation, or a related human services field.
• RN must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Three years of experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• Valid Florida License as LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW.
• Must meet MHRC/RBHS vehicle driving and insurance requirements, including a valid Florida Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and screens individuals for the MFT program.
• Directs and coordinates the MFT admission process and treatment, rehabilitation and support services in coordination with the Psychiatrist/ARNP.
• Assigns each Individual Treatment Team (ITT) and primary case manager.
• Directs and coordinates the completion of the psychosocial assessment and oversees the development of the recovery plan.
• Provides clinical supervision in the development of recovery plans.
• Coordinates team meetings to ensure services are scheduled and provided.
• Functions as a practicing clinician and provides direct treatment and support services.
• Participates in 24-hour on-call coverage and crisis intervention.
• Advises court evaluators, attorneys, and judges about the MFT program as a diversion option.
• Maintains relationships with judicial/defense offices and Clerk of Court.
• Monitors progress of individuals referred to MFT while in jail or court-ordered programs.
• Coordinates services with local jail mental health staff and other providers.
• Attends court hearings as needed and oversees conditional release reports.
• Monitors safety risks and reports abuse/ neglect when appropriate.
