Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Therapy Program Assistant for the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center in LaGrange. The position offers a 37.5-hour week, full benefits including health and life insurance and retirement, and the chance to support patients in a forensic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of therapeutic or patient care experience.
• College may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Substitute experience for education: NONE

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision to patients during ADL and IADL care and safety monitoring.
• Escorts and transports patients to groups and appointments; follows treatment plans.
• Conducts patient group sessions per treatment plans.
• Leads psychoeducational skill development to aid recovery.
• Completes documentation of patient participation and progress within guidelines.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives related to direct patient care.
• Collaborates with treatment team to plan and provide treatment.
• Attends and participates in required staff and treatment team meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
