Job summary

Fulton State Hospital in Missouri is seeking compassionate staff to provide direct care, treatment, and security for forensic psychiatric and sex offender clients in minimum security units, helping maintain safety while promoting recovery.

You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, document fluid intake, and report on client conditions; some duties include basic first aid, environment of care checks, and collaboration with a responsive, skilled team.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of caring for patients, including basic nursing, first aid and emergency treatments.
• Ability to work with clients with various health and cognitive needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, treatment, and/or security of forensic psychiatric and/or sex offender clients in minimum security areas
• Accountable for assisting clients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing, and other related tasks
• Assist in checking vital signs, height, and weight as assigned
• Collect and maintain records of fluid intake and output
• Report on the condition of clients
• May perform internal environment of care checks or perform some security-related functions in a mental health care setting
