Qualifications

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• 0-3 years of experience as a registered nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients' mental and physical condition to ensure quality psychiatric and medical care.
• Teach living skills, medication therapy, symptom management and other health maintenance needs to patients.
• Assign, supervise, train and evaluate work of Forensic Rehab Specialist, Certified Medication Technicians and Licensed Practical Nurses.
• Supervise, evaluate, and instruct professional and paraprofessional nursing staff. Assist with coverage needs as necessary.
• Assure development and maintenance of nursing care plans, progress notes, flow sheets and documentation.
• Respond to and direct crisis interventions and ensure safety.
• Supervise and/or administer medications and treatments per doctor’s orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean and therapeutic environment.
