Job summary

Fulton State Hospital in Missouri seeks staff to provide direct care, treatment, and security for forensic psychiatric and sex offender clients in minimum security units. You will support daily living activities and monitor client conditions.

The role requires flexibility to work 12-hour day or night shifts, strong communication, and the ability to respond to emergencies with basic nursing skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to work in Minimum Security Units.
• Able to rotate day/night 12-hour shifts.
• Knowledge of general care and treatment of patients, including basic nursing, first aid and emergency treatments.
• Ability to work with clients with various illnesses, disabilities, and geriatrics.
• Ability to perform first aid and emergency treatments as instructed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care, treatment, and/or security of forensic psychiatric and/or sex offender clients in minimum security areas
• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing, and related tasks
• Assist in checking vital signs, height, and weight as assigned
• Collect and maintain records of fluid intake and output
• Report on the condition of clients
• May perform internal environment of care checks or security-related functions in a mental health care setting
