Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group in Oklahoma City seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead forensic investigations, analyze incidents, and prepare expert reports documenting findings, scope of repair, and remediation steps.

You will manage multiple projects, interact with clients, and provide testimony as required. A B.S. in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering, PE licensure, and 5+ years of relevant experience are preferred. This is a salaried, full-time position with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• B.S. Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering from an accredited program.
• F.E. exam completed; PE licensure or ability within one year preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical/equipment analysis.

Responsibilities

• Performs forensic assignments within mechanical engineering scope and budget.
• Investigates incident causes and mechanical failure origins.
• Inspects sites and equipment; conducts analyses and prepares sketches.
• Prepares oral and written reports detailing findings and remediation.
• Provides expert opinions and testimony as required; manages multiple projects.
