Job summary

The State of Missouri, Department of Mental Health at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center seeks a Licensed Professional Counselor or Counselor-in-Training to support forensic clients in a high-security setting. Qualifications

• Possession of a current license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri.
• Master's degree in Counseling or Guidance and Counseling with a minimum of 48 graduate credit hours.

Responsibilities

• Performs professional tasks including assessment, admission, client counseling, prognosis, placement, treatment, and/or discharge planning functions.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop treatment plans, discuss client progress, and adjust treatment strategies.
