Job summary

Southwest Connecticut Mental Health System (SWCMHS) seeks a qualified professional for the Forensic Services program. You will provide monitoring, evaluation, competency restoration and consultation services for complex cases, and direct treatment to clients with challenging psychological and social needs.

The role supports inpatient/outpatient teams, collaborates with psychiatrists, and prepares detailed reports for PSRB, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and three years of experience in assessment, treatment planning and direct treatment services.
• Experience with forensic and clinical settings.
• Licensure as LPC or LCSW preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates consultation with DMHAS staff to assess services.
• Monitors PSRB restoration and treatment programs.
• Performs comprehensive clinical assessments.
• Develops statutorily required reports for PSRB and courts.
• Represents program during hearings and coordinates with community providers.
