Job summary

Rimkus Consulting Group seeks a Biomechanical Engineer in Orlando to tackle complex injury questions, reconstruct accidents, and explain injury mechanisms. You will combine engineering, physics, and data analysis to uncover truth in high-stakes cases for attorneys, corporations, insurers, and courts.

This role offers growth toward certifications, fieldwork, and collaboration with multidisciplinary experts in forensic engineering.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering or closely related field required.
  • 4+ years of relevant biomechanical/biomedical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze injury biomechanics and accident scenarios to determine forces and mechanisms.
  • Reconstruct events using engineering principles, simulations, physical models, and literature.
  • Evaluate occupant kinematics, seatbelt interactions, airbag deployment, and occupant positioning in crashes.
  • Prepare clear expert reports and present findings to attorneys, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Provide expert testimony during depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
