Job summary

Rimkus is seeking a Biomedical/BiomechanicalEngineer to conduct human-injury impact analyses and accident reconstructions in a litigation and regulatory environment. The role emphasizes producing written findings and providing testimony in deposits or trials.

Requires a master’s degree in biomedical/biomechanical engineering with 4+ years of experience; PhD is a plus. PE license or ACTAR is preferred, with travel up to 25%. Rimkus offers competitive pay and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Master's in biomedical or biomechanical engineering required; PhD preferred.
  • Minimum 4+ years in biomedical/biomechanical engineering.
  • PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • ACTAR certification preferred or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

  • Performs human-injury impact analysis of vehicular accidents, mechanical failures, falls, and falling objects.
  • Analyzes vehicular accidents and reconstructs vehicular accidents.
  • Prepares written reports of findings in clear, concise terms.
  • Provides testimony in depositions and the courtroom.
  • Conducts human motion and injury analyses.
  • Analyzes injuries from automobile, industrial, marine, and recreational accidents.
  • Conducts on-site vehicle examinations and documents findings.
  • Reviews photos, witness statements, reports to derive conclusions.
  • Locates and applies research from literature and regulations.
