Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks an Auditor to provide general auditing and accounting support for fraud investigations involving complex transactions and organizations attempting to evade detection.

The role requires developing audit guidelines, analyzing data from bank and financial records, and coordinating with cross-functional teams throughout investigations. A four-year degree and 3+ years of relevant experience are expected, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Four-year undergraduate degree in related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, fraud examination or data analysis.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain adjudication for background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and audit a variety of accounting systems.
• Organize and present large volumes of data from financial records and related sources.
• Assist with investigations planning using quantitative and qualitative analyses.
• Prepare concise reports with charts, summaries, and schedules.
• Confer with representatives of financial institutions and witnesses.
• Utilize electronic databases to identify assets and evidence.
• Assess ability to pay monetary penalties from disclosures and assets analysis.
• Develop and issue draft audit guidelines for financial audits and investigations.
• Prepare interim and final investigation reports for staff use.
• Arrange secure storage and indexing of documentary evidence.
• Assist in compiling and analyzing documents and creating charts for motions.
