Job summary

The Forensic Audit Manager position is with the Office of the Auditor of State. The role oversees forensic audit plans in the Northeast Ohio region, focusing on public entities that have misused taxpayer dollars. You will examine controls, apply fraud-detection techniques and draft audit comments and findings.

Qualification includes a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years in external audits, and a valid Ohio driver’s license. CPA or CFE is a plus; excellent benefits accompany this full-time role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3+ years experience in external audit environment.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license.
• Experience with governmental financial accounting/auditing desirable.
• CPA or CFE certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement forensic audit plans within assigned geographic region.
• Conduct forensic audits of public entities to detect fraud.
• Understand client internal controls and financial procedures.
• Prepare audit summaries, findings and comments.
