Job summary

The Davey Tree Surgery Company is actively seeking a Foreman to supervise a crew performing line clearance and tree trimming for major electric utilities in the Orlando area. You will oversee pruning, removal, and debris cleanup, ensuring safe and efficient operations on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Pesticide license, if required by state law; Herbicide license a plus.
• Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines.
• ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain.
• Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides crew supervision and line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers.
• Prunes treetops, repairs damaged trees by trimming or removal, and removes broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects.
• Directs crew members and equipment and plans and executes the assigned work.
• Supervises maintenance, preparation, and operation of tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Operates as part of a crew with Groundmen and Trimmer/Climber.
• Performs all listed functions as required.
