Job summary

VCI Construction, LLC is seeking a Foreman on our Telecom Underground team to lead crews, read blueprints, and ensure DOT/OSHA safety and project timelines on underground telecom projects.

You will train crew members, coordinate with the supervisor, communicate with property owners about work, and safely operate heavy equipment in all weather conditions while maintaining a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED and related work experience preferred.
• Foreman experience preferred; read and understand blueprints; safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Ensure safety policies, OSHA and DOT compliance.
• Assist Supervisor with day-to-day activities.
• Speak with property owners about work and resolve issues.
• Safely operate heavy equipment and machinery.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Help with training of crew members
• Read and understand blueprints
• Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Assist Supervisor with day to day activities
• Speak with property owners about work to be performed and resolve any issues
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related work experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Foreman Underground is$25.00 - $34.00.
