Job summary

VCI Construction, LLC is seeking a Foreman to lead our Telecom Underground team in California. You will supervise crews, ensure safety compliance, read blueprints, and maintain project timelines in underground telecommunications work.

Responsibilities include training crew members, coordinating with the supervisor, communicating with property owners, and safely operating heavy equipment under various weather conditions. This role requires strong leadership and adherence to OSHA/DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• A valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related work experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Help with training of crew members
• Read and understand blueprints
• Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Assist Supervisor with day-to-day activities
• Speak with property owners about work to be performed and resolve any issues
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally use ladder, keyboard and mouse

Wage range: $22.00 - $34.00
