Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. in Virginia seeks a Foreman for the Telecom Underground team to lead crews in installation and maintenance of underground systems. You will ensure safety protocols, read blueprints, and manage project timelines end-to-end.

The role requires at least three years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. Prior Foreman experience is preferred to guide field crews and coordinate with the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required or preferred.
• At least three years of related work experience.
• Foreman experience preferred for leadership on crews.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews to meet project timelines.
• Help with training of crew members.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Ensure safety policies, OSHA and DOT regulations are followed.
• Assist Supervisor with day-to-day activities.
• Discuss work with property owners and resolve issues.
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Lead crews to meet project timelines
• Help with training of crew members
• Read and understand blueprints
• Help ensure everyone is following company safety policies, OSHA, and DOT regulations
• Assist Supervisor with day to day activities
• Speak with property owners about work to be performed and resolve any issues
• Safely use heavy equipment and machinery
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• A valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience preferred
• At least three years of related work experience
• Previous Foreman experience preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work alone in remote locations and in confined spaces with arms above shoulder level, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
