Job summary

Lambert's Cable seeks a Telecom Aerial Foreman to lead installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site. You will guide junior teammates and coordinate with crew members to complete work orders.

The role requires travel for storm response on short notice, adherence to codes, and the use of bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other equipment. Excellent safety mindset is a must.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass DOT physical exam and obtain a medical card.
• 3+ years of related telecom or construction experience.
• Pole climbing certification or willingness to become certified.
• CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems per codes and customer requirements.
• Safely operate bucket truck, digger derrick, and excavators.
• Keep work areas safe and ensure smooth traffic flow on site.
• Work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Use hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, saws).
• Provide guidance to and support to crew members.
• Travel for storm response on short notice.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks documenting productivity and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Safely use equipment like bucket truck, digger derrick, excavators
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical cardAt least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
