Job summary

Lambert's Cable is seeking a Telecom Aerial Foreman to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems. You will serve as the on-site expert, guiding less experienced team members and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

You’ll travel as needed for storm response, lead daily work orders, and help document crew productivity and safety. A strong background in fiber/telecom installation and hands-on leadership is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• DOT physical examination with valid medical card.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Willingness to become a certified pole climber if not already certified.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to codes and customer requirements.
• Safely use equipment like bucket truck, digger derrick, and excavators.
• Maintain safe work areas and ensure smooth traffic flow on site.
• Work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Use hand and power tools safely (wrenches, drills, saws).
• Provide guidance and support to others on the crew.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
