Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. in New Jersey is seeking a Telecom Aerial Foreman to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems. You will serve as the on-site expert guiding crew members and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on every job.

The role requires hands-on leadership, ability to travel for storm response on short notice, and a commitment to safe work practices while delivering efficient, high-quality solutions for customers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record (not provisional).
• Must pass DOT physical for a valid medical card.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified; CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation of fiber/telecom cables and support structures per codes and customer requirements.
• Safely operate bucket truck, digger derrick, excavators.
• Keep work areas safe and traffic flowing on site.
• Work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Use hand and power tools to complete tasks.
• Provide guidance to crew members as needed.
• Travel for storm response on short notice.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks documenting productivity and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Safely use equipment like bucket truck, digger derrick, excavators
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certifiedCDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
