Job summary

VCI Construction, LLC. seeks a Telecom Aerial Foreman to supervise installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems on California job sites. You will ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while guiding less experienced crew members on the ground.

This on-site leadership role requires readiness to travel for storm response, climb heights, and use hand and power tools. Daily logs documenting productivity and safety are also expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of related work experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a valid medical card.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial fiber/telecom systems per codes and customer requirements.
• Ensure work areas are safe and manage on-site traffic flows.
• Climb at heights using appropriate equipment and operate hand and power tools.
• Provide guidance to crew members and support storm-response travel as needed.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks documenting productivity and safety.

What you’ll do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse

The wage range for Foreman Telecom Aerial is$27.00 - $32.00.
