TITLE: Foreman - Pipefitter I
REPORTS TO: Superintendent
JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Develop solutions to ensure issues are prevented before becoming problems.
- Review projects with the Superintendent and/or Project Manager after equipment and subcontractors are in place. Conduct physical surveys of the project site with the Superintendent to assess conditions and report findings in writing to the Project Manager if required.
- Perform takeoffs for projects in a timely and thorough manner in collaboration with the Superintendent.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site activities, including scheduling, material control, and rentals.
- Provide daily updates on job completion percentages.
- Ensure all site personnel comply with project procedures, safety requirements, company policies, and other relevant standards. Document incidents as they occur and notify the Project Manager and Superintendent. Recommend and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure that weekly reports, including safety/toolbox meetings, preconstruction updates, weekly production reports, and any project-specific reports, are completed and submitted to the office.
- Conduct inspections to ensure jobs meet Pueblo Mechanical standards, are prepared for start-up, and coordinate as necessary with contractors, engineers, subcontractors, and owners.
- Coordinate with the shop for production scheduling and delivery of materials.
- Possess 4+ years of experience; journeyman status or ability to obtain a license.
- Ability to read blueprints and prepare material lists.
- Work to increase team efficiency and maintain high safety standards at all times.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be self-motivated and punctual.
- Ability to multitask and follow up effectively both internally and externally.
- Maintain a professional appearance and speech.
- Experience with government facilities is a plus.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, lifting, standing, walking over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, and safely climbing ladders.
