Role Overview

This is a seasonal position. You can use your winters to travel, hunt, fish, or engage in other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year‑round.

The position is responsible for safely supervising and coordinating the activities of workers engaged in grading and efficiently running the gravel/base operation; producing quality gravel/base in a timely manner. The foreman must display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members.

Duties and/or Responsibilities

1. Perform daily equipment walk around and site inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained.
2. Safely and properly supervise and coordinate activities of workers.
3. Work with crews, inspectors, and subcontractors to complete projects.
4. Complete quality gravel/base jobs within specifications.
5. Complete necessary paperwork.
6. Mentor and coach subordinates.
7. Deliver samples to lab.
8. Approve and submit work hours for crew and pertinent job information daily.
9. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with people under high stress situations. Self‑motivated, team‑player with good interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
10. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.). Monitor and discuss production problems with co‑workers and managers/supervisors.
11. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, Lockout/Tagout, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

1. Ability to hold and maintain a driver’s license in accordance with all state laws.
2. Minimum 5 years experience in a product line.
3. Minimum 5 years GPS Trimble experience.
4. Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and some Saturdays.
