Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a Foreman to supervise operational activities for Des Moines Portable 1. This role will oversee plant production, maintenance and mobile equipment across multiple sites with regular travel between Winterset, IA and nearby locations.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in aggregates/mining, a high school diploma or GED, and prior supervisory experience. A valid U.S. driver's license, strong leadership, communication, and safety-focus are essential.

Job Summary

Martin Marietta is currently seeking a Foreman to supervise operational activities for Des Moines Portable 1.

Responsibilities

Supervising plant production, plant maintenance and mobile equipment operations across multiple sites as needed. This operation supports our Winterset, IA, Springfield, NE, and Fort Calhoun West, NE locations, as well as other sites as required. Regular travel between locations is an essential function of the position.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will supervise up to 24 direct reports.

Work Environment

This job operates frequently in operations and maintenance environments in open pit quarry locations. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Required Education and Experience

• Previous experience in aggregate operations
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years related experience
• Previous supervisory experience in a mining environment
• Must have a valid U.S driver's license

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1-year supervisory experience in a mining environment
