Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers is looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Technician in our Concord NC branch to work in and around the surrounding areas. This position reports to the Service Department Manager.

Day to Day:

1. Lead their assigned job daily
2. Perform fire sprinkler system repairs, add/relocates, and tenant improvements/changes
3. Direct the activities of their assigned Helper and train him/her on the proper way to service fire sprinkler systems
4. This position may also perform installations of new fire sprinkler systems
5. All work must be performed accurately and timely
6. Develop a strong relationship with the customer to exceed all their expectations and ensure a quality, timely installation is achieved.
7. Attend monthly safety meetings at the local branch.
8. Work outside on job sites for long hours in all seasons including summer months.
9. Physical requirements include standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing. Lifting will include up to 70 pounds.

Qualifications

What are the Qualifications for this position?

1. Minimum 5 years of fire sprinkler service experience
2. Knowledge and experience with system installation, repairs, add/relocates, troubleshooting, reading blueprints, putting systems on test, and more.
3. Ability to supervise each project and all Fitters/Helpers working on the jobsite.
4. Must be able to wear proper protective equipment as required on all job sites.
5. Travel within the local community is required
6. Must possess ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
7. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and a good communicator.
8. A company vehicle will be provided for this position requiring a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
9. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and pre-employment background check screening including 10 years of employment verification is required to be hired at Wayne Automatic.
