Job summary

Hirschbach Motor Lines seeks an experienced Diesel Shop Supervisor to oversee daily diesel shop operations in Bedford. You will prioritize workloads, assign tasks, and maintain repair timelines, while leading a team of mechanics to deliver high-quality work.

Responsibilities include diagnosing heavy-duty trucks, managing preventative maintenance, ordering parts, tracking costs, and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of diesel mechanic experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong diagnostic skills and deep knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, and trailer systems.
  • Comfortable with shop software, repair tracking tools, and basic computer tasks.
  • DOT, OSHA, and safety compliance knowledge.
  • A team-focused, can-do attitude—you motivate others and lead by example.

Job description
