Job summary

Hired by Matrix in New York, NY seeks a Foreign Exchange Trade Support professional to join a global financial institution. Directly support the FX Sales and Trading desks and assist cross-function teams with spot, forwards, options, and exotic trades.

This role requires strong client service, risk awareness, and the ability to work under pressure in a hybrid environment. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and FX product knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Familiarity with Foreign Exchange product knowledge preferred.
• Experience with deliverable and NDF spot, forwards, options, vanilla and exotic trades.
• Previous Middle Office / Trading Assistant experience.
• Experience with risk management of Trader positions.
• Superior client service skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to drive automation and improvement initiatives.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct support of the FX Sales and Trading desks, and support to other teams covering FX products.
• Interact with Asset Managers, Corporates, Hedge Funds, Central Banks and Interbank counterparties globally.
• Handle FX trades transacted for other businesses such as Rates, Equities, Private Wealth Management and Commodities.
• Monitor and mitigate the firm's risk across the FX trade flow, front to back.
• Collaborate with Sales and Trading on trade booking, allocations, give-ups and amendments.
• Communicate confidently and accurately with the FX Desk.
• Review and resolve exceptions and discrepancies across internal systems and with counterparties.
• Maintain attention to detail to support risk mitigation and client excellence.

• In addition, the team is responsible for all FX trades transacted on behalf of other businesses such as Interest Rates, Equities, Private Wealth Management and Commodities.
• Responsible for monitoring and mitigating the firm's risk throughout the FX trade flow, front to back.
• Working with Sales and Trading on trade booking, allocations, give-ups and amendments.
• Position requires a lot of interaction with the FX Desk, so the ability to communicate with confidence and accuracy is essential.
• Will also involve the review and resolution of exceptions and discrepancies across internal systems and with external counterparties.
• Attention to detail, and timely completion of tasks will play an integral role in ensuring the team executes on its responsibility to mitigation risk and deliver client excellence.
