Job summary

MAHLE is offering an internship in the Trade Intelligence team in Farmington Hills, MI. The role supports digital transformation in Foreign Trade by developing data-driven solutions, automation tools, and databases to improve visibility, compliance, and efficiency.

You will help with Power BI dashboards, data collection and integration, and analytics to identify trends and risks in foreign trade, while coordinating with customs brokers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of databases and data management.
• Knowledge of Power BI.
• Interest in business intelligence, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and automation.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, Power Automate, or similar tools is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and/or knowledge of foreign trade, customs, or supply chain processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support import and customs operations by coordinating with customs brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Assist in the creation of Power BI dashboards and reports to monitor trade operations, tariffs, compliance metrics, and business KPIs.
• Participate in data collection, cleansing, validation, and integration activities from multiple sources.
• Assist in developing analytical models to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within foreign trade operations.
• Support automation initiatives through Power Automate, RPA solutions, and other digital tools.
• Assist in the preparation of executive reports and presentations based on data-driven insights.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Contribution:

The Trade Intelligence Intern will support digital transformation initiatives within the Foreign Trade department through the development of data-driven solutions, automation tools, and databases to enhance visibility, compliance, and operational efficiency.

• Support import and customs operations by coordinating with customs brokers and internal stakeholders.
