Job summary

Schneiderman & Sherman, P.C. is seeking a Legal Assistant in the Foreclosures department to handle filing, document drafting, and case management for foreclosure-related matters in Ohio.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong communication, and excellent organizational skills. This in-office role offers a full-time schedule, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits in Blue Ash, OH.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
• 1–3 years of legal assistant or paralegal experience required; 4+ years preferred.
• Prior experience in default, foreclosure, or real estate law (plaintiff representation) preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Ohio court procedures and filing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare legal documents for court filing, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence, with accuracy and compliance.
• Effectively manage electronic filing of legal documents through state and federal court systems, ensuring timely submissions.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors; respond to inquiries promptly.
• Provide clear updates on case status and escalate complex matters as needed to achieve satisfactory outcomes.
• Liaise with process servers to coordinate services and monitor performance.
• Maintain and update case files, track deadlines, and ensure timely progression of foreclosure-related proceedings.
• Perform data entry, maintain case management systems, and ensure documentation adheres to procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
