Job summary

McCarthy Holthus LLP is seeking a Judicial/Litigation Assistant I in Plano, Texas. The role focuses on managing foreclosure matters, filings, and deadlines in compliance with court rules and client needs. Onsite work with a Monday–Friday schedule supports a fast-paced litigation team.

The candidate should have 5+ years of litigation paralegal or legal assistant experience and familiarity with Texas Home Equity Foreclosure processes. Proficiency with BKFS/Tempo systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant.
• 5+ years of Texas home equity foreclosure/judicial foreclosure experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with servicer foreclosure systems like BKFS, Tempo, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Draft, file, and serve pleadings; order records; ensure timely processing of legal matters.
• Provide timely updates to clients on pending matters.
• Manage deadlines, calendars, and internal case management systems per civil court procedures.
• Maintain accuracy of case data across internal and client platforms.
• May perform other duties to support department goals.
• May occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs.
