Job summary

Planet Home Lending is seeking a Foreclosure Specialist to evaluate loans and determine the best foreclosure path for the company and its investors. You will refer cases to approved attorneys, monitor timelines, and ensure adherence to state and investor regulations.

The role supports the attorney in responding to defensive or litigated matters. Ideal candidates have mortgage servicing or foreclosure/paralegal experience and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• This role requires knowledge of mortgage banking practices and regulatory guidelines including FHMLC, FNMA, VA, FHA, USDA.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates loans to determine if foreclosure is the best course of action and ensures pre-foreclosure requirements are met.
• Refer accounts to approved Planet Home Lending attorneys and monitor to meet foreclosure timelines.
• Track foreclosure milestones, coordinate with attorneys, and manage documentation and invoicing.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and investor requirements; respond to counterclaims when needed.
• Assist attorneys in responding to defensive or litigated matters.
