Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer for Forecasting & Labs Analytics in Bellevue, WA. You will advance demand forecasting accuracy, diagnose forecast issues, and deliver metrics and insights that drive supply‑chain decisions.

Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Science, and Product teams using AWS Redshift and Tableau to enable partners and customers to optimize inventory and labor planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 5+ years of professional or military experience.
• Experience extracting, transforming and cleaning large (multi-TB) data sets.
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with AWS technologies.
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining.
• Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics projects using data modeling and statistical analysis on large multi-source datasets to forecast performance.
• Direct design and implementation of analytics solutions for new product initiatives.
• Ensure quality and consistency of analytical outputs across team deliverables.
• Build tools to analyze large data and uncover forecasting issues and explain variance.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of recurring reporting frameworks.
• Partner with product, science, and engineering teams to define success metrics and measurement approaches.
• Translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
