Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Engineer for Forecasting & Labs Analytics in Bellevue, WA. You will lead analytics projects to improve forecast accuracy across multi-TB datasets and partner with product, science, and engineering teams to define success metrics.

You will translate insights into actionable business recommendations, work with AWS and Tableau, and build scalable reporting frameworks while communicating with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 5+ years of professional or military experience.
• Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets.
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with AWS technologies.
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining.
• Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects using data modeling, and statistical analysis best practices to create reporting and give insight to the forecast against large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources.
• Direct the design and implementation of analytics solutions for new product initiatives.
• Ensure quality and consistency of analytical outputs across team deliverables.
• Build tools to analyze large amounts of data that uncover forecasting issues and convey insights which highlight forecast performance and explain variance.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of recurring reporting frameworks.
• Partner with product, science, and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle to define success metrics and measurement approaches.
• Guide analytics strategy during project entitlement phases.
• Translate complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.
