Job summary

Future Ford of Sacramento is seeking a Mobile Automotive Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs at customers' homes, workplaces, or other approved sites. You’ll diagnose vehicle issues using manufacturer-grade diagnostic tools and explain repairs clearly to customers.

Valid California driver's license required. We offer base pay $22–$27 per hour plus a comprehensive Total Rewards package including health and retirement benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for career

Qualifications

• Automotive repair experience or completion of an automotive technology program.
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform mobile maintenance and repair services at customer homes, workplaces, and other approved service locations.
• Operate the Mobile Service vehicle in a safe and professional manner while maintaining tools, equipment, and parts inventory.
• Diagnose vehicle concerns using manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment and repair procedures.
• Clearly explain repairs performed, maintenance recommendations, and vehicle conditions to customers.
• Accurately document repair orders, inspections, and completed work in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards.
• Independently manage assigned service appointments while meeting productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction expectations.

What We're Looking For

• Automotive repair experience or completion of an automotive technology program.
• Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, maintenance, and repair procedures.
• Ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles using manufacturer standards.
• Ability to work independently while providing mobile service at customer homes and businesses.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain repairs and document work accurately.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience using diagnostic equipment.
• Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE and/or Manufacturer Certifications.
• Previous dealership service experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
