Job summary

Future Ford of Sacramento is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair diesel engines and powertrain systems, including Powerstroke platforms. You will perform heavy-duty repairs, troubleshoot electrical and emissions issues, and ensure all work meets Ford standards.

Qualifications

  • Diesel Technician experience required; Ford diesel experience preferred.
  • Powerstroke or equivalent diesel certification strongly preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of dealer-level or heavy diesel technician experience.
  • Strong diagnostic skills in diesel engines, fuel systems, emissions, and drivability.
  • Results-oriented, reliable, and team-focused.
  • Commitment to quality repairs and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines and powertrain systems, including Powerstroke platforms.
  • Perform heavy-duty diesel repairs including engine, turbo, fuel, cooling, and exhaust after-treatment systems.
  • Troubleshoot advanced electrical, drivability, and emissions concerns.
  • Complete repair orders efficiently and accurately per Ford factory and dealership standards.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections to identify additional safety or service needs.
  • Communicate clearly with Service Advisors, Dispatch, and Parts to support workflow.
  • Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders.
  • Road test vehicles to ensure proper diesel performance and repair quality.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Stay current with Ford diesel training, certifications, and technical bulletins.

Pay Scale:

Production Base rate: $33.80 bonus opportunities based on experience and diesel certification, tied to individual productivity and performance.
