Job summary

Steven Ford in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking an experienced Ford Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Ford vehicles, delivering high-quality workmanship while following manufacturer standards in a busy dealership.

You’ll work with a team of skilled automotive professionals using modern diagnostic equipment, Ford procedures, and performance-based bonuses that reward productivity and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Virginia State Safety Inspector License required.
• Previous automotive technician or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to perform inspections accurately and in compliance with Virginia State Police regulations.
• Basic mechanical knowledge, including brakes, steering, suspension, tires, and lighting systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• ASE certifications are preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns
• Perform Ford-specific diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs
• Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently
• Perform inspections and identify additional repair needs
• Utilize Ford diagnostic equipment and manufacturer repair procedures
• Communicate repair findings and recommendations with Service Advisors
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs and inspections
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow Ford, dealership, and safety procedures
• Work collaboratively with Service Advisors, Parts, and other Technicians

$60,000+ ANNUALLY BASED ON EXPERIENCE & PERFORMANCE

ALL TECHNICIANS RECEIVE A PRODUCTION BONUS PAID AT TIME-AND-A-HALF (1.5X) THEIR FLAT-RATE PAY BASED ON PRODUCTIVITY!

Compensation

$60,000+ ANNUALLY BASED ON EXPERIENCE & PERFORMANCE

Compensation is based on experience, certifications, productivity, and performance, with strong earning potential for experienced Ford Technicians.
