Jim Riehl's Friendly Automotive Group in Charlevoix, MI is seeking a Service Technician to join our Ford dealership team. The right candidate will diagnose and repair a range of systems, communicate with the Service Advisor, and help ensure timely, quality repairs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification is a plus.
• Ford Certification is a plus; Ford-B level qualifications including Diagnostics, Electrical and Engine Repair.
• Dexterity with a steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills; able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude with eagerness to improve; thrives in a dynamic team.
• Valid driver''s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components/systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional needed services and estimates of time.
• Execute repairs under manufacturer specifications, including warranty work.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
